Dong-Lim Traditional Embroidery Gallery |
This museum was opened April 2004 and displays the various kinds of Korean Traditional Maedup-Korean Macrame such as, Norigae(ornaments worn by a woman) , pouch, belt and also, the various materials for making Maedup such as, string and etc.
The display room is in the Korean Traditional House call Hanok which is greatly harmonized with the beauty of Maedup. And it also keeps the old masterpieces, the recreation of the old one and the modernized one at the same place. This museum has been making a creative works as well as providing succession training for Maedup Skill.

BUKCHON HANOK VILLAGE |
Bukchon, or North Village, is a traditional residential area located between Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. Its 600-year history spans the life of the city itself. At Bukchon Guest House, visitors have the chance to enjoy the aesthetic charms of a traditional Korean house, called hanok. Various experiential cultural programs as well as the Bukchon Culture Center, the Museum of Korean Embroidery and the Museum of Korean Traditional Knots are available within the village. |
